Aled Williams

Every performer adopts a style & technique that invariably is drawn from familiarity with that of a mentor/idol. In Aled Williams' case this is undoubtedly Mark Knopfler. This young man's ability to recreate the guitar work, voice & illusion of Dire Straits front man is beyond compare. Any devout 'Straits' fan will agree that on the night he is barely distinguishable from the real thing.

 

 

Paul Guy

After an extensive apprenticeship in clubs, ocean lines & massage parlours, bassist Paul Guy has attained a level of competence that ideally suits a Dire Straits tribute band. With his roots now firmly in the Cardiff area his consistently solid backing has enabled 'Money For Nothing' to confidently produce the unique feel of the 'Dire Straits' line.

Dave Sargeant

Second guitar is Newport based Dave Sargeant. He has played successfully with numerous professional outfits for over two decades, in venues all over the UK. An established member of the band, his experience & style reinforces the authentic sound hitherto, only associated with the original 'Dire Straits'

 

Derek Bisset

Not content with running 'Money For Nothing' drummer/percussionist Derek Bisset, lends his considerable ability & power to this already formidable line up. A real professional, his track record is highly impressive (& interminably lengthy!) with such an accomplished musician in charge the inevitable result is the UK's premier 'Dire Straits' tribute show.

Gary Foreman

Fifth (and most recent) member is ex Baptist minister and occasional single malt expert, Gary Foreman. Former fifth member of the 'Temperence Seven' (the other two drank!), he assures us that his enviable career has mainly been 'Balls', but 'other venues' as well. His ability to reproduce exactly the 'Straits' keyboard parts is uncanny, but why that hat?! Answers on a postcard.
